Een Intieme Bruiloft bij Kasteel Wijenburg

As a wedding photographer from America, that is now based in The Netherlands, it is always lovely to see how Dutch couples celebrate their wedding day! To put it simply, it’s not all that different! This sweet couple chose to celebrate their wedding surrounded by all their loved ones, friends and family alike, at the beautifully preserved and historic Kasteel Wijenburg.

This gorgeous spring wedding had to be one of my favorites to photograph. The couple and their wedding party were effortlessly connected throughout the day. The bride’s friends stopped at nothing to make sure everything went according to plan from making sure the first look moment was perfect to delivering some of the most heartfelt speeches throughout the day. This couple’s close-knit friends and family didn’t shy away from pouring out love to the bride and groom.

The couple thanked their family and friends by organizing brunch where they shared stories, and plenty of jokes all while acknowledging every single person who made their wedding possible. They even thanked Klaas and I, gifting us a bottle of Rotterdam’s HavenWater. Truly they are some of the kindest souls!

I’d love to take a moment to personally thank this couple for having me and Klaas, my husband and second photographer, document their wedding. Thank you Simone and Olivier for all the great memories. When I think of you two and your wedding day, it’s clear you all are soulmates! The banter you all share, the unspoken connection you all have is BEAUTIFUL.
