Intimate Summer Wedding in Belgium
Domaine Ronchinne, Belgium | Chateau de la Poste
INTIMATE, STUNNING, BOLD, FEARLESS + JESUS -are words that come to mind when I look back on Kaelyn and Matt’s wedding.
A quick little backstory on these two; Kaelyn is from America and Matt is Greek-Belgian. They met through a church in Brussels, and they just knew they’d finally found each other. Truly these two are a T E A M! Their wedding date was set during the middle of the pandemic, so there were so many things that were up in the air for them. Would Kaelyn’s family be able to fly into Belgium? Would they have to postpone their wedding?
Ultimately, together they decided to opt for an elopement-style wedding. Although Kaelyn wasn’t able to have her family physically present, she made dang sure she incorporated them throughout the day. One of my favorite moments from the wedding was seeing Kaelyn walk down the aisle, proudly holding up her phone, showing her dad through video chat. The look on his face- he was beaming. He was able to walk his daughter down the aisle. His heart was FULL. I don’t think I ever told Kaelyn this, but I almost ugly cried. It was such a sweet moment I’m happy I got to capture!
The ceremony was beautiful, filled with so much love and excitement. Again, I choked up a bit seeing Matt’s parents tear up as Matt and Kaelyn read their vows to each other. Finally, they were married!!! The look on their faces once the ceremony ended was PURE BLISS. These two were made for one another, and it couldn’t have been more apparent.
Thank you, Kaelyn and Matt, for choosing me to photograph your wedding!! It was truly a joy getting to meet you, your family, and your friends. Thank you for being so welcoming, making sure that we had everything we needed, and of course for the delicious dinner you all treated us to. I hope we cross paths again someday- I’m sure we will!!
Cheers to perseverance, love, and choosing Jesus as the cornerstone of your marriage and most importantly your lives. Wishing you all only the best. Sending love and warm hugs!
Cheers,
Arlene
