Say No to Stress on Your Wedding Day!
Hello, present + future brides!
This is another blog I am writing in order to guide you through what could be a stressful time preparing for your wedding day!
Your day should be free of questions like “what now? What’s next? Where’s so and so?”. SAY NO TO STRESS on your wedding day.
If you don’t already have a wedding planner, you can follow these little tidbits of advice to help you prepare for your wedding day. I hope they help!
Make a timeline
If you have a wedding planner, they will more than likely have a customizable wedding timeline template ready for your disposal. If not, make a simple one on canva! Make sure to add enough wiggle room in between different activities! Hand these to your photographer, parents and/or some designated friends. It is crucial to have a well thought out and planned timeline. That way you and everyone around you will always know what’s next!
Gather your belongings in ONE room
It’s as easy as that. Gather your dress, tux, tie, veil, hair accessories, jewelry, the wedding rings, shoes, socks, watch, undergarments, bag, the guestbook, your invitation, your wedding day timeline, your group photo list (more on this later) and any other details you’d like to have photographed ready and laid out in a clean spacious room at least two days before the wedding. Laying out all the wedding day items on a blank canvas —aka your bed—will help you see what may be missing. Plus, you won’t be running around trying to gather things the day off.
Make a photo list
Sometimes we just don’t have the luxury of thinking clearly on our wedding day. Why should you? It’s a day for celebration and fun. WORRIES ARE NOT FOR WEDDINGS, so make a photo list of people you’d like group photos with. Hand this to your photographer — if they haven’t asked you already. This helps prepare the photographer for all those desired group shots and one less thing you’ll have to think about.
Scan bride and groom portraits location beforehand
Usually, you will only have about 30-40 minutes with your photographer for bride and groom portraits. You can preserve time by choosing a few spots in your location of choice beforehand. The photographer will then guide you to find the best lighting and BAM! you can get back to your guests ASAP.
Have a snack in between activities
Yes, it can be easy to forget to eat, but make sure to stash some energy bars or trail mix into your bag along with water. Stick to dry, non-coloring foods to avoid staining your dress or suit. Snacking will give you boosts of energy and prevent energy slumps. You don’t want to look tired in photos is all I am saying! Also, you’re not you when you’re hungry -hahah (but please don’t reach for a snicker’s bar!).
I hope this has somewhat helped or guided you in the right direction! If so leave a comment down below! I love hearing from you all!
