Wedding at Kasteel de Hooge Vuursche

Luxury Garden Wedding at Kasteel de Hooge Vuursche

Absolutely in love with all the moments I was able to capture during this gorgeous luxury garden wedding I photographed at none other than the iconic Kasteel de Hooge Vuursche, a popular wedding venue in the Netherlands.

The wedding party, the design, the florals, and the location came together perfectly for A + R’s wedding day.

For this wedding, I was the second photographer to the talented Steven de Cuba. It’s always a pleasure working with him!

We decided to start out photographing the wedding party in one of the main bedrooms at the regal Dutch castle. I focused on getting all the in-between moments during the getting ready session because that’s what I love focusing my time on - documenting you and your bridesmaids or groomsmen while you all share and enjoy all the excitement before the big reveal during the first look.

After getting A’s photos, I met with R to photograph him putting on his bright seafoam green wedding suit. Yes, he intentionally color-coordinated his suit to match all the stunning florals added to the ceremony setup - more on that later!

While the skies were threatening to let out a good rainfall that day, the bride and groom lucked out and were able to hold their garden ceremony outside the castle by the parkzaal. When I say, the styling was gorgeous, I really mean it! I had not seen this type of colorful floral design in the Netherlands before. The floral designs in The Netherlands can sometimes take on a more subtle approach. For this wedding, The bride knew she wanted something more extravagant, so she hired Bloom Your Life. Probably one of the best decisions ever! Not only were the florals stunning, but the iconic waterfall at Kasteel de Hooge Vuursche set up the perfect, natural wedding ceremony backdrop.

The ceremony itself was filled with intimate, funny, and sweet moments. There were several teary-eyed guests dabbing their faces with tissues through all the speeches and of course, during the bride and groom’s sweet vows.

The bride and groom continued their festivities by cutting the cake on the terrace and enjoying an intimate dinner with their guests inside the castle. If you are looking for a luxury and historic venue to host your wedding day from the getting ready portion of the day to celebrating on the dance floor with your friends and family, you have to check out Kasteel de Hooge Vuursche.

Or if you’re looking for a smaller castle that still holds tons of beauty check out O + S’s wedding at Kasteel Wijenburg.
